It all began over 25 years ago when Brenda, a Licensed Master Social Worker, founded her first adoption home study agency in Ohio. With a heart for children and families and a deep commitment to ethical, compassionate care, Brenda dedicated herself to guiding hopeful parents through one of life’s most meaningful journeys. She always dreamed her work would leave a lasting legacy—but she never imagined just how beautifully that legacy would grow roots in Tennessee.

Today, that dream lives on through Tennessee Adoption Home Study Services, led by her daughter-in-law, Tabitha. With the unwavering support of Brenda and her husband, Mark—and with the encouragement of her husband, Brent—Tabitha has taken the lead in continuing this family mission. Inspired by watching Brenda pour her heart into the work for decades, Tabitha felt called to bring the same warmth, professionalism, and guidance to families in her own community.

The story of this agency is as much about family as it is about adoption. Tabitha and Brent met back in 2001 while working at Cedar Point Amusement Park. What started along the shores of Lake Erie turned into a lifelong partnership grounded in shared values and purpose. From the start, Brenda saw something special in Tabitha—her kindness, strength, and steady compassion—and over the years, their bond has only deepened. Brenda and Mark have always been a constant source of support, encouraging the dreams of both their children and now their daughter-in-law.
