All of our adoption home studies are approved in all 50 states and fully comply with Interstate Compact (ICPC) standards. Each package includes a no-cost application, no waitlist, fast turnaround times, preplacement in-home visits, personal interviews, and a comprehensive written report—with no extra charges for mileage or document fees. Everything you need to move forward in your adoption journey is included, with no hidden costs. 

If your adoption home study is over a year old or needs updating due to a move or life change, we provide fast, affordable updates that meet all Tennessee requirements and comply with Interstate Compact (ICPC) standards. We review your original home study, update the necessary documents, and ensure you’re fully prepared for the next step—efficiently and with care.

Once your child has joined your family, we will conduct post-placement visits to ensure your child’s adjustment and overall well-being. These visits also allow us to provide support and guidance as you transition into family life. Each visit includes a written report submitted to the court. The first post-placement visit must be completed in person. 

After your first in-person post-placement visit, the next two visits can be completed virtually for added convenience. Virtual visits allow us to connect securely, discuss your child’s adjustment, answer questions, and continue preparing the reports required by the court.

While most Tennessee courts do not require the home study provider to attend the finalization hearing, if court attendance is requested, it is treated as a post-placement visit and billed at the standard in person post-placement visit rate of $400.

We offer a complete, background check service for adult household members. For a flat fee of $100 per adult, our process makes obtaining background checks fast, simple, and stress-free. From start to finish, we handle the details so you can focus on your adoption journey with confidence. 

Once your home study is complete, Tennessee Adoption Home Study Services will, at your request, provide copies of your home study and supporting documents to any child‑placing agency, court, or attorney—at no additional cost to you.
